# TreeTruth™ > *TreeTruth™* is a remote arboricultural consultation service for Ontario > homeowners, operated by Brent Hocking, ISA Board Certified Master > Arborist® (ON-2667B, TRAQ). Every session is a live video call. Brent > has no financial interest in any tree work that results — no sales, no > quotes, no affiliated contractors. The service exists to give homeowners > independent, credentialled tree expertise at every stage where they would > otherwise be making decisions without one. Book at cal.com/treetruth. TreeTruth addresses a structural problem in the tree care industry: every contractor who provides a free estimate has a financial interest in selling work. Multiple quotes from multiple companies are not independent expert opinions; they are multiple sales visits responding to the same brief. Homeowners in Ontario have had no neutral source of arboricultural expertise — until now. The service maps to three stages of the homeowner-contractor relationship: before any contractor is involved (Consultations), before authorising work (Quote Review), and after work has been completed (Post-Work Review). TreeTruth consultations are advisory and educational only. They are not formal ISA BMP Level 1, 2, or 3 tree risk assessments, and are not written arboricultural reports suitable for permits, municipal applications, or legal proceedings. For formal on-site services, see Brent Hocking Consulting Arborist at bhconsultingarb.ca. Geographic scope: Ontario, Canada. All prices in Canadian dollars (CAD) plus Ontario HST. Governed by Ontario law. ## Consultations - [Standard Consultation — $185 + HST](https://cal.com/treetruth/standard-consultation): 45-minute live video call. The primary offering; appropriate for most homeowners with a question or concern about one or several trees. Clients submit photos before the call; Brent reviews them in advance so the session begins with informed context rather than a cold start. - [Quick Question — $115 + HST](https://cal.com/treetruth/quick-question): 20-minute live video call. One tree, one specific concern. - [Comprehensive Consultation — $295 + HST](https://cal.com/treetruth/comprehensive-consultation): 75-minute live video call. For larger properties, multiple trees, or complex situations. ## Review Services - [Quote Review — $125 + HST](https://cal.com/treetruth/quote-review): 30-minute live video call. The client submits a contractor's tree work quote in advance; Brent reviews scope, pricing, and whether the recommended work is sound. The right choice before authorising any tree work. Evening appointments available. - [Post-Work Review — $125 + HST](https://cal.com/treetruth/post-work-review): 30-minute live video call. Independent review after tree work has been completed — were cuts made in the right location, was the scope appropriate, what are the biological implications going forward. ## Add-on - [Written Summary — $95 + HST](https://treetruth.ca): A one-page signed PDF of findings and recommendations, prepared by a Board Certified Master Arborist®. Selected during booking intake. Not a formal arboricultural report; suitable for personal records and contractor briefings. ## Site Pages - [Book a Consultation](https://cal.com/treetruth): General booking entry point for all services. - [Services Overview](https://treetruth.ca/#services): Full service descriptions and pricing. - [Mission](https://treetruth.ca/#mission): The structural problem TreeTruth exists to address and Brent's background. - [FAQ](https://treetruth.ca/#faq): What to expect, how to prepare, and common questions about the consultation process. - [Brent Hocking Consulting Arborist](https://bhconsultingarb.ca): Parent practice.
